Skullcandy...

Merry Christmas!

Sitting here watching the kids play with the new gear Santa dropped off this am, whilst listening to the latest Rammstein album on my new GI's which Mrs Santa left me:

Now, I gotta figure out how to get these below the Pro-Tec P***Pot...
'Til then, I'll hang on to those wee white ear buds Apple supplied.

Gt Performer - Custom build...

I've two daughters who have been starting to show a bit of interest in BMX.
My eldest daughter has taken my bike out a few times, and I had been talking to her about building her one of her own, as she's finding mine a wee bit difficult to get on with.
She's seen the wee stash of parts I have in the attic and had her eye on my mongoose f&f, but when I showed her an old GT performer frameset I had and told her she could fix it up whatever way she wanted, her eyes kinda lit up a bit.
Anyway, here are a few pics of the build at different stages.
It's quite a mixture of old and new school parts, but she's well pleased with it, and that's the main thing.
The frame came from ebay.de about two years ago, with about half a dozen layers of rattle-can spray and cost me 99 euros.
Most of the other parts I had here, except the pedals and the seat.

Glenn Johnson...

Punched "BMX" into Vimeo and this guy's footage came up.
A 'kin crackin mix of old and new school styles to it. Awesome.
Check out his other vids too.

Enjoy!

DBI...

Found this on Vimeo and thought I'd post it up. Can't beat a bit of old Dirt Bros footage:

Local trails setup.

Well, they lasted a few weeks anyway before they were levelled...
Can't imagine how some dirt jumps dug into a bit of unused land among the trees would cause anyone any harm, but they must have been doing something to someone somewhere, as they went from what you see in the clip below to what looks like a freshly rotovated vegetable patch in the space of five hours or so.

Was told about the clip online by one of my buddies who spent most of January and February down there digging.

Hope you enjoy.

Changes...

Few changes to the current scoot...

Dropped the freecoaster for a while, was curious to see how I'd get on without the slack in the drive for tyre taps and stuff, and I've raised the seat a bit to help with the fakies now I gotta pedal backwards ;).

My good lady wife bought me a new front rim (Sun Big Baller), so I could build my old Ody Cassette into the chrome Ody Hazard Lite I originally had on the front (Thanks Bob xxx).

Ain't using my front brake lately, so I'm thinking about dropping that for a while, BUT I think the freecoaster might go back on again soon...

Anyway, here's the current setup:

The Emerald Video...

Local shredder Peter Adam (he of the old Federal team fame) and now one of the United team Vets premiered his new DVD on Saturday night down at our local indoor park, Unit 13, not too far outside Belfast.

Ride Uk BMX mag had a quick chat with him and got some info on it. Click on the link below to read the interview and buy a copy of the dvd! :)
